Elgan Jones is a landscape photographer and Mountain Guide based in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, North Wales

A little about me:

Curiosity and the love for the outdoors led me to my first camera, capturing moments in time, otherwise forgotten. Come day or night you will mostly find me amongst the mountains, submerged in nature chasing “the light”.

I’m completely self-taught, with over nine years experience; my images have been published and short-listed in a variety of prestigious photography competitions worldwide.

My ever-growing interest has expanded my skills to time-lapse photography and video, playing with time and motion to evoke emotions and share experiences not considered visible to the human eye. I have been fortunate to collaborate with various production companies to create visual three axis time lapse sequences to enhance their documentaries.

Over the years Elgan has developed a close working relationship with a broad range of clients and his work can be found at:

Mountain Guide

As my growth for adventure expanded with my photography, I discovered that I would need additional skills to enable the ability to take my clients off the beaten track and to roam some of the hidden gems found here in Snowdonia and beyond.

With over ten years experience roaming the local mountains, I’m also a fully qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoors First aid responder. I’m also a full member of the Mountain Training Association and the British Mountaineering Council.

Weather a full day excursion or a weekend wild camping, rests assured you are in capable hands.
