A lone tree sat in a disussed slate quarry. Possibly the single image of autum that I will capture this year but im really happy with the directional morning sidelight and the contrast between the towering rockface and the yellow leaves. Foel Goch catching the morning light as we made our way up Pen yr Ole Wen, just before sunrise. First snow of the year, most was gone by the time we made it back ti the car but I hope that the white stuff will soon return.

Looking south towards Ben Starav from the summit of Glen Etive, this mountaon towers over Loch Etive and will most certainly be on the Munro wishlist next time I visit.
